Men Of American Pride Poem by Sandra Feldman

Men Of American Pride

Where are the men of valor?
That once this Country roamed,
That with their 'savoir faire'
Helped build this Country's dome,
A place that all Americans,
So proudly called their home.

Where are the men of honest heart?
Whose love for country shone,
And worked to achieve the betterment,
For All, not just their own.

Where are the men who would not take,
Dictatorship of one?
Who would not speak with lying words,
Nor sly and twisted tongue.

Poor Country, you are now alone,
No love does come your way,
The men that once did make you great,
Are gone or gone astray,
Today it seems that power,
Is used just to betray.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There is no love of country or honesty among the so called 'leaders' of today. It is painful and shameful to see, how they have purposely
put this country at risk and don't govern in an honest and meaningful way! Corruption and decadence are cultivated in a most fatal way. It is time for things to change or else, nothing good in our future.
My heart pains deeply for our Country.

Gone astray. Yes, the systems of mankind have many probelms in them. Where are the men of valour? Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
