Meteor Poem by Juan Olivarez

Meteor

Brilliant meteor way up high,
On a collision course with Earth.
Falling from the evening sky,
Like a roman candle in the north.
What if anything will remain,
If you make it to the ground,
Will you be consumed in flames?
I doubt that you shall e're be found.

6/15/10 29 palms ca.
