Miles Away Poem by Christy Marie Lucero

Miles Away

Rating: 5.0

I have always felt your nearness
I ratify our joyous togetherness
I'm praying you won't go away
Cause I can't afford to lose you so, please stay

I have practiced myself living with you
So, I said I won't let you go
Words can't describe my happiness
When you promised you would stay always

You lied with me as I sleep at night
I've never felt the coldness at twilight
Cause you remain until the break of dawn
I open my eyes and gaze your presence early morn

But as I arouse and welcome the sunrise
I reached beside me but you weren't there already
Now, you're miles away from me
Where are you now? Come back to me

Now, I feel so strayed
Wonder how can I live
Fly back to me and give me survival
I will wait for your arrival.
