Mind, Myself Poem by Justine is my name

Mind, Myself

My mind and body,
Two different things,
One roars,
The other sings.

They never work in sync,
They tell two separate tales,
One whipsers “succeed”,
The other screaming “fail”

A smile can hide a thousand worries,
From the naked eye,
But if the eye was clothed,
It would see the dark and wry.

You can fight against it,
But soon you start to believe,
The vicious words your mind tells you,
Your body won’t succeed.

Your mind takes you over,
Filling you with lies,
Your body acting out each scene,
The fake before your eyes.

My mind can leave me isolated,
Force me to stay at home,
Leads me to believe I’m useless,
“you’re better off alone”

No one sees the pain,
They only see my attempt,
To kill the over-powering mind,
But it’s useless, I’m exempt…
