Mireverie (My Dream) Poem by Mitch Señoron

Mireverie (My Dream)

I walked through the grassy fields of the night,
Where the stars are high up and bright.
Seeing a castle afar, splendid and perfect,
Gold roses and glass walls, where light itself reflect.
Its beauty is almost like heaven.

Crystal clouds and vapor mist the citadel,
Just like a gown made for a gorgeous damsel.
Two great towers wearing crowns of diamonds,
And a gate made from true blue roses.
A picture of a perfect haven!

Dark and willful thunder clouds reign supreme!
Where it strikes the towers with light and beam!
Crystal shards flaw, wipe and shatter,
Breaks all to ruins like a broken platter!
A point of hell seen so bright.

Pitch-black spirits dance and lurk,
Without signs of life and glee nor smirk.
The fields of golden roses fade and die...
While crystal clouds and vapor fail and fly...
From nothingness came in fright!

Once a pretty sight seen with thy eyes,
A splendid site of rightness and free of lies.
But now a place of distress and gloom...
Where glee nor light itself bloom!
A total nightmare for the night!
