Mirrors Have No Memory Poem by Asma Khan

Mirrors Have No Memory

Rating: 5.0

I hear your voice in my ears
when no one can stop my tears
I create you in my dreams of ivory dust
of moon shining in vibrant blue rust
Your radiance blurs my vision
blindfolded heart calls for caution
Those unsaid words rattle my heart
nothing can I imagine may put us apart
Your image is engraved in this mirror
about my story, there is only one author
How could I battle with destiny?
when you asked me to set you free
Glad that I travelled with you to the moon
where the silvery dew was given to me in a teaspoon
You may not know the beauty of this loss
until the death meets me across
Sacrificing your heart was no bravery
For I know mirrors have no memory!
