Missing You Poem by Lexy Notland

Missing You

I feel you so close but I know you’re so far, if heaven exists, is that where you are? Is it nice like I hoped it would be, full of family and friends, and love that will never end. It breaks my heart to know you’re gone, but I know I have to live and move on. It’s what you want or so I’ve been told, by many a people both young and old. So I’ll be brave and I have to be bold, let go of the past, let go of this hold.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I just want opinions on what i have so far. This poem is for my godfather Mike, whom die a year and four months ago. I just wrote this today, and it's my first time writing so it's probably not great.
