My Oli Poem by Panda Broussard

My Oli

Your bed is still in your spot. Your bowl is still filled to the top.
Your leash it sits not being used.
Your collar unlocked and slightly bruised.
Your brush and comb on the table there.
Your shampoo half full, the natural care.
I don't hear you tapping the floor with your feet.
I don't hear you breathing or cleaning your teeth.
I don't hear you barking or howling with the train.
I don't hear you panting worrying about the rain.
I don't hear you, but I want to.
I want to feel your fur so soft and smooth.
I want to see your face, scoot over to make room.
I want to snuggle and feel you relax.
I want to see you happy,
You were always like that.
I want you here, but your not.
I know your never returning to fill your spot.
I know your at peace, no longer in pain.
I know your in heaven with Daddy again.
I know you were happy,
And loved everyday.
I know I will miss you forever,
my furry best friend.
