Mission Poem by sachu sunny

Mission

I dedicate this poem to all the people who live for the abandoned, homeless and the sick and the teachers who give their lives to the mission of educating theuneducated and bringing them colour into their lives.

The mission

I still remember the day
When I found you on the way
And I stood there and thought
How could they did this to you
And I stood like the many
Who whined and blamed
Then I thought it was me
Who was to blame
And I walked home with a heavy heart
Thinking of you all the way.
I knew I could do something
And I, indeed, had an idea.
I wasn't sure where to start
But I knew it was my calling
I started scribbling at the dawn,
Made some plans to start the mission.
Many said I was wrong,
But I stood firm in my decision.
Scowling and contempt I bore in my heart,
And strode ahead with all the might.
I knew was right and held my head high.
I still walk with the aching legs
Through the rough rocky path
Through the wilderness
Leading the abandoned into the future.
