Money Poem by Boonk Jackson

Money

What has money done?
Money has killed undisruptive and innumerable individuals
It has made futures bleak and Nations depend on it to function or run
Riches have the strange turn around to take equality and make them unequal
The more money we have makes us believe that we are more powerful and free
When that could be the least truthful thing ever heard to believe
While the rich can’t even have true privacy and pee
The least rich can use a latrine or even go unnoticed on a tree
Free is to be laughed at, the term is a joke within itself
To follow this is riddling your imagination and playing yourself far left
This green paper we chase with power houses of our nations deceased faces
As far as we are concerned this is the only true color, I say this because it causes a race to be racist to their own races
On the other hand money can be helpful to the ones that are not able to change their conditions in which life has delivered
If those of us of us fortunately of fortune was to help uplift instead of depleting moral holding it on that crash course downward
Money also provides cures, but without money would cures and doctors be free
How will we go about handling the adults and kids that are sick and weak?
So I guess to take money from the equation would set us back by light-years
To the times of BC where we continue to scrip creatures and fight with rock like spears
