Money Poem by Umeet Vaswani

Money

Dragging a toy horse with a nylon thread
Seeing it limp shopkeeper said
' Don't grunt child its just a missing wheel!
Remove its subordinate or bring the missing wooden reel.'
' Dragging this junk is too hard to do '
Clearing his eyes he said ' Sir please keep it with you
I'll go and find the wanting piece
Else beg for a dollar or even steal'
' Say what child, if u work with me
I'll fix that wooden junk for free'
A good bargain he thus accepted
But with time to the horse his feelings rejected
Money thus is a root of all evil,
Snatched his childhood and bliss in real
If he had just stopped for right rupee/ quarter
Maybe world would have looked much better
Though necessary for this corporate earth
Is money worth killing happiness at birth
For everything is ultimately going to be mixed withe soil
As death doesn't seek in money to foil
