Retral Nostalgia Seems Just Yesterday...

Retral nostalgia seems just yesterday,
When mesmerised day begun with a nap on the toilet seat.
When reaching late at school issued a lot.
Smelly potty with no care to wash,
And such small hands that it took years to bathe.
Oily dorky hair with mummy's kiss at the school gates,
With 10Rs/- stash who knew life was at its prime best.
When loosing a pencil or book was as bad as it could get.
Ofcourse the cry at 1st day school gates,
Remains the same for stepping into the real world.
GI Joe and manish toys still are bizzare best friends,
Even though Mirror has betrayed shorts for long pants.
And neat we'd expected but hairy masses we've all turned.
Coz parts that were stiff, small and waxed have started to hang sag or grow grass.
Cooties that girls were then, have now turned romance
Eating with a fork and spoon evolutioned from bare hands
But in years shame, laugh and perkiness have remained the same
Now that a thought spurs, we've never really grown just taught to act in a public flown
Because
Retral nostalgia just seems yesterday, as for
Even today begins with a nap on the toilet seat
Who knew life is always at its prime best
When loosing a smile or heart is as worse as it could get
