She hid in the closet,
that's where monsters belonged she thought
She closed her eyes, and wiped a tear
She smiled at the whisper, in her ear
She had been sad
Oh so very sad
Her parents didn't notice
Her friends just didn't care
It wasn't fair
But that's alright
Cause he whispered
He whispered in her ear
He wispered oh so soft and clear
She turned to him.
He said,
Lets be monsters together
All alone, to face the world
We could be monsters together
If only you'll be my girl
She laughed and took his hand
She leaned close to his ear
She said,
Let's be monsters together
All alone, to face the world
We could be monsters together
Yes, I'll be your girl
