Moral Compass Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Moral Compass

Anyone not taught and shown,
The use and value...
Of having a moral compass.
Will not feel to have it known,
When to apply it.
Or how to re-act amongst others,
Cemented and attached...
To emotions felt to not pretend them.
Or has a kept belief,
In anything that money can not buy.
To then regard humanity,
A worthless experience.
If one can not impress or address,
The importance of materialism.
And the significance the having of it,
For them had been taught to prioritize...
Than life to connect what it means,
To have feelings, emotions.
And being a human being.
When this from one's birth,
Had been a teaching to loathe.
And suppress to consider it a weakness.
To express.
Address.
And to deny if it should show.
It's all about the money.
One without a moral compass.
Treasures more to worship than God.
