Psaltydog's Thoughts

Morning Fog

Morning fog
Weaving through the forest on a misty trail
Surrounding me like a graven veil
Hiding me within a damp cloak
That none should see me fail

Misty trail
Adrift, shadowed neath dark clouds
Lights dimmed within a murky shroud
All is wet on this slippery slope
Where joy is not aloud

Dark clouds
Hanging low in an ominous sky
Air is still, but for a raven’s cry
Impending storm, dampening all hope
I cry and question; ‘Why? '

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
