Morning Man - Poem by Howard Simon

Delivered from darkness
A great lover of the light
Rising extremely early
working with all my might

Others are still sleeping
While I am wide awake
Maximizing every moment
Energized from spiritual intake

In the day I make progress
Excelling in an excellent way
Following closely my plans
From my priorities never stray

I am a man of the morning
The Son shines in my heart

Early to rise when others are sleeping and plan your activities and start your day is something which everyone look up to but due to late night work and technology interventions it is a dream like situation, a thought provoking poem, Congrats for Poet of the day. (Report) Reply

It's a nice poem. Obviously, a morning man makes more hay than others, while the sun shines.
    Loved these lines:
    'Others are still sleeping
    While I am wide awake
    Maximizing every moment
Energized from spiritual intake'..... (Report) Reply

So true. A morning man is certainly physically n spiritually superior to others. Beautifully presented. (Report) Reply

A lover of nature is always a morning man, how can a lover ignore the beauty of his beloved when she stripes on the beach of inverted blue ocean and dives in it to bring the pearls of aurora for painting her charms on the canvas of the blue sky. (Report) Reply
