Morning Man

Delivered from darkness
A great lover of the light
Rising extremely early
working with all my might

Others are still sleeping
While I am wide awake
Maximizing every moment
Energized from spiritual intake

In the day I make progress
Excelling in an excellent way
Following closely my plans
From my priorities never stray

I am a man of the morning
The Son shines in my heart

What a great write, I can see the sunrise and the upbeat mood of the morning light. Nicely written your words flowed so nicely. Without night you would not have the beauty of the morning light. Great write 10+++ (Report) Reply

Shame that not everyone is a 'Morning Man', I'm surely not, you can't beat the ambience of the night...

An excellent poem, nonetheless. (Report) Reply

'the sun shines in my heart' very nice line.
It reminds me kind of like parents, how they wake up early mornings
and work hard while everyone else would be sleeping.

This one sounds like you have morning devotions. It is good to be hard working and to claim Jesus. (Report) Reply

Lovely poem. I am a morning person too, and I enjoy the peace and tranquility before the busy day starts. I especially liked the part about the son in your heart. (Report) Reply
