Mother Of All Poem by Haile Tesfaye

Mother Of All

Rating: 5.0

I am the mother of which all species have
sprung from. I have extended my limbs for
food and shelter, lest they falter. I have
served humans but in return the axe is laid
at my roots and clutter on my skin. I am fed
chemicals that chokes me to death. My less
fortunate offspring are almost extinct, and
my mouth runs dry like the dessert valleys.
I am in dismay for temperatures are raising
and my body is melting.

A very sad situation that we are going to face soon. The merciless annihilation of trees going to take this world into a catastrophe. Your poem is an eye opener to this fact. Thanks for sharing.
