Motivated Monotony Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Motivated Monotony

Rating: 5.0

Her branches limply swayed in the wind
The atmosphere around her swirled
Her thoughts took her to distant places
Roots anchored her to an immobile world

The break of dawn sunk into the sunset
The weeping willow wondered why
The life she had been given was idle
Was it her destiny to lament and cry…

Beneath her boughs the grass grew green
Her extending arms began to embrace
A warmth of beauty as birds sang sweetly
Butterflies fluttered…tears dried from her face

i liked the way the poem from gloominess turned into a new world of freshness... the nature imagery...depicts the monotony and then the freshness so well
