Once again it is October 4th
And one thing I know for sure
I miss you, Rod, so very much
Sometimes it is hard to endure.

I love to look back to our childhood
For it really makes me smile
As a big brother you were perfect
I felt so safe all the while.

We never lacked for something to do
Your imagination amazed me so
We had so many projects
Like a couple of bees we would go.

Perhaps one day I'll see you again
So much there would be to say
I cherish all of our childhood fun
To my big brother, Happy Birthday.
