My Love Poem by Nirode Ray

My Love

The pain in my body evaporates in thin air
the blood in my veins fumes spread
the darkness collapses on the blue sky
the moon dangles on the horizon like a pebble
at the end of a thread

I see your face
floating on the ocean
like a dead fish on a white foam
I surrender to my desire
and my defeat dwells

Sadness of life ends and
dries up like sundried tomatoes
strewn on the sandy bay
it tastes musty, it tastes stale
I wish my love for you
would have ended in a beaming way.
