An Unknown Beauty

It rains on tree tops
Beat splatters
It drops on green
Rhythm lazes.

It falls on ocean bed
Waves play
It rains on rainbow
Color swells.

It rains on snow
Ice slushes
It rains on rain
Monsoon happens.

Rain drops on your eyelashes,
Long and piney
And the droplets
Want to stay.

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
