My Love-Letter Poem by Peter Karweru

My Love-Letter

Please tell me what you are feeling,

Though I have the right to your heart,

Of you I cannot be controlling,

Yet if you look deep into my eyes when they're rolling,

You just might easily drown and in them get lost.

I beg of you to confide in me darling,

Our life is just freshly starting,

I don't think we need a plan,

Ours is all natural and God's doing,

Naturally sweet as your lips on mine.

Only Him should we trust in,

And our trust built in each other,

I have never felt loving you is a sin,

For the things you have shown me are much greater,

And your love I mark with every existing star.

Like in the skies you twinkle upon my heart,

Like a good rest you rid me off my uncontrollable pant,

Concerned about that one special person who has your soul and body,

For life then all I wish is for you to calm down,

Never get troubled @ heart by anybody else,

Specially whom nothing of importance to you they'll be adding,

At any one instance,

Always will be my priority concern,

My trust in you my life confidant.
