My Love, My Love Poem by norman hale

My Love, My Love

My love, my love
The stars are shining bright
I'm sending you my love
On this lonely night

I'm over accross
Living in Hell here on earth
While you are back home
After giving our child birth

This love here in my heart
Brings a few tears to my eyes
As I hear in the distance
A dogs mournful cries

This love between our hearts
Can never be broke
Our love is for real
And is never a joke

My love, my love
May I hold you against my chest
For until that very day
I will never get any rest

For it's your lips
I wish to forever kiss
But to hold you forever
Is the first on my list

I want to hold our baby
And see his smiling face
For babies are from Heaven
Gifts sent from grace

I want to hold you tightly
Just to let you know
How I love and missed you
From the moment I had to go

I have your picture
That I hold to my chest
But, until you're in my arms
I may never get any rest

So look to the north sky
As the north star blinks at you
That is the sign I'm looking
And sending my love on to you
