...My Poetic Grannie Told Me.... Poem by Juneil Sechico

...My Poetic Grannie Told Me....

Rating: 4.9

Have your pen And notebook with you,
Tote it wherever you may go,
To indite the events of time;
Make spontaneous flow of lines,
Consisting words of poetic rhymes.

Flavor your piece with imagery;
The main ingredient of poetry,
Is a heart full of fantasy,
And a heart full of emotion;
A heart with ardent affection.

Color is very necessary,
To vivify the imagery,
Of your cruising imagination,
In the notional dimension,
Of your profound cogitation.

Forget not the love of what you do;
'Twill create a fantastic flow,
To the bottomless ocean blue,
Of boundless poetic contrivance,
With interminable elegance.

You have my tips grandson of mine,
Fabricate me just few fine lines,
That can blow away the readers' minds,
To your exquisite reverie,
With a ton of felicity.

Your grannie taught you well, Juneil. Always carry a notebook and jot down lines when they spring into your mind. Many a good poem has been lost without that vital notebook.... Fran xx

Grannie was a poet who led by example, so will you be. 'Have your pen And notebook with you, Tote it wherever you may go, To indite the events of time' Thats exactly what i do as well, poems emerge from almost anything, anywhere.

Dear Juneil, Your gradma was very particular in advising you all the ingredients to present a beautiful poetry (curry?) e.g.Tote of Pen, Notebook, Spontaneous flow of Poetic Rhymes, Imagery and to vivify that Flavour and Colour. AND SHE HAS GIVEN TO RIGHTFUL OWNER. I am sure you will flourish with new ideas everyday. A very good poem deserves A10 from me.--Rajkumar
