As I step into my mother's eye,
Slowly my reflection do I see.
I was the girl she had always longed for,
The one she holds, through thick and thin;
The reason behind her smile and laughter,
The daughter she knows will make her proud.
The girl that beholds her future so.
As I step into my country's eye,
Slowly my reflection do I see.
I was the girl to bring a change,
The one to drive out human insanity;
The reason her song will echo,
The citizen that will raise her flag to the skies.
The girl that beholds her future so.
As I step into my Creator's eye,
Slowly my reflection do I see.
I was the girl he entrusted with a task,
The one to spread his message throughout;
The reason His name will be glorified,
The child that will bring Peace on earth.
The girl that beholds the future so.
So I step into my own eye, and
Slowly my reflection I realize;
My life was never to be taken for granted,
For I was the Love, the Hope and the Faith;
(As I awoke from this dream, I inquired-)
Am I to watch my reflection die?
Or rather be what my future beholds!
