The Soulmate's Tale Poem by Florence Laldinpuii Chhangte

The Soulmate's Tale

Rating: 5.0

Longing for love but fearful to fall,
Eagerly waiting for a call;
Hoping for him, she dreamed of romance,
Whence to the rhapsody of love, they'd dance.

Pondering through the vague, distant stars,
Her faith abounds in soulmate's living scars;
The moon- her little hopeful glimpse of connection,
Yonder beyond, both may have stared the same direction!

As the wind dances through her hair,
That instant, the flow would transcend her there;
Both minds astrayed from the physical world,
An intersection of the soulmate's life hurled.

And like the mist that holds iridescent lights,
Was their unforetold story taken to heights;
Diffused and scattered by little fragments of time,
Left only an aberration that could sublime.

If the rain should but fall like tears,
Deprived of the bond, they'd grow with fears;
But deep within that melancholy, they hear
A serene, angelic baritone, a drifting lullaby.

Come fate may but vain echoes mild,
For destiny's game is risky and wild;
So if you have heard the soulmate's tale,
You may seek yours or in tranquility, sway.
