My Shadows(Dedicated to Immaculate Sibanda)

I have always hoped that
You will be there
Through thick and thin

When I was going through
A very rough path
When I needed someone to talk to
A shoulder to cry on
You were there
Not once did you forsake me

Trustworthy,
Honest and a secret keeper
Is what you are
You bring out the best in me
I confide in you
And unlike many
You do not share it
With the rest of the world

A day came when you had to leave
You left me with nothing
But a big empty hole
In my heart
If it were in my hands
I would have made you stay.

I might not see you everyday
We might not talk all the times
But you still the best I ever had

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
