My Sky Fell Poem by Leslie Alexis

My Sky Fell

My sky fell,
The day you walked away:
The day you streaked me
With you last radiant ray,
My sky fell!
Like a meteor shower
My sky came crashing down.
The force drove me into the ground.
My one star forever gone,
Even as I fell off the tower
That my assurance in you had built.
My body was refused,
So too was my will broken
For my sunshine was departed:
Roses no longer are beautiful
Nor petals sweet smelling
The rainbow is now black
And love murderous.
For when you left
So did the best part of me...
