There is a stillness in the breeze
The river has lost its flow
The mountains have trapped the mist
The moon has lost its glow
The butterflies have stopped their dance
The birds are silent like the snow

There is a sadness in the air
An emptiness lurking within me
There is an ache in my heart
A hollowness troubling me
My senses are numb with pain
I can’t seem to get a hold on me

There is desolation all around
A dropp of joy is hard to find
Even nature seems to weep with me
For it is as helpless as me
For it cannot fulfill my soul’s craving
To feel your arms around me…
