My Stay In London Poem by Sunita Chandla

My Stay In London

Rating: 5.0

I wonder these days.. what's up with me
With much time at hand, I'm busy as a bee.?
Am I at peace or somewhat restless?
It's just a change of place I guess.

I walk like a wanderer
On an unknown path
Thinking about future
Lost in my past

Often admiring buildings and trees
And savouring a little nip in the breeze

Then I quickly count my blessings, dear
Life with kids has offered so much ease here.

This city is lovely
And people are fine
Bustling and lively
Quiet as divine.

Watching the ducks
Wading through water

I tell myself
''Have fun - don't bother

My joys are doubled here
Am I walking in a dream?
Like ripples in water, widen
Blend back in the stream?
