My Sweet Grandmama Poem by Panda Broussard

My Sweet Grandmama

My sweet Grandmama, how dear you are to me!
Your beauty was everlasting, your heart shined for all to see.

You always comforted me, in all my times of gray.
A hug from you and your sweet smile chased all the blues away.

Your skin was smooth like butter, and pale like a porcelain doll.
I can not believe your in heaven now, but Jesus, your name he called.

He will be so lucky to have such an Angel like you,
Your sweet face brightened the day, no matter what the weather brew.

I will miss you ever deeply and my heart it aches,
But I would rather have this pain, than to see you suffer to be awake.

As my heart melts and tears flow out my eyes,
I pray The Lord knows, how still, I have peace inside.

Knowing that your with Him, knowing your pain has ceased
Gives me the strength to endure,
And may it bring our family peace.
