My Tomorrow (Revised) - Poem by Heather Burns

Stepping out
of the
shadows into
the light
my tomorrow
appears

Standing in
front of me
my knight
in shining
armour

His eyes like
pools of amber
I would like
to take a
swim get lost
in them

forget reality
stay there
forever in
complete bliss.

To get lost in the pool of amber eyes....a sheer poetical statement (Report) Reply

    sometimes the eyes often lie
what we see is often in disguise
bliss / blissfulness are not the same
real / reality is your guesing game (Report) Reply

Sometimes we all need to forget reality even if it's just for a short time.
    A great poem. (Report) Reply
