My Ventriloquist Poem by Lacey Saulisbury

My Ventriloquist

I'm Seeing you through warm summer screening,
and It burns my eyes.
You all know the reason I'm bleeding,
with in my disguise.

I shouldn't let you control me completely,
But you words defeat me,
so sweetly.

And I cant scream, I cant see, I cant dream, in disbelief.

With me, Just me alone.
I cant scream, I cant see, I cant dream, with your defeat.
You defeat me,
You complete me.
control me, completely

Which I shouldn't let you do,
But I'm Secretly asking you to. Because I'm Mentaly Yours.

I cant scream, I cant see,
you silence me, in disbelief.
you've binded me, in disbelief.

You've got me on strings.
My Pupetier.
My painted on smile,
and sharp laughter in my ears.

You've practiced my voice, for years and years,
and these punchlines make you laugh to tears.

You Speak for my smile, and see through my eyes,
So my tears don't show through my diguise.

And when they question me, and thank me for the show,
You'll speak again, Because I dont want them to know.

These clear, sinking eyes,
and pale, clenched lips,
Would like to let out the Tears.
but the Audience cant get a glimpse.

When I cant scream, I cant see, I cant dream, in disbelief.
I cant laugh, I cant frown, I'm controled by me, in Disbelief.

Tangled and sworn in your defeat.
