My Wife Poem by Tony Cox

My Wife

Lay still my newly wedded wife.

Lay easy as you can.

For I know it is foreign for you to sleep with a man.

I am incomplete as a kitchen without a knife.

Without you as my wife.

As long as birds are allowed to fly under the infinite blue bubble.

I shall want you to be my wife.

Just like sweet honey comes from the bee and the fish swim in the seas.

I want you to be my wife.

When God chooses to no longer bless man to walk on this side of life.

I shall forever love you.

My wife
