I shall sleep
I shall sleep

Life here is no more

Skin brown

Eyes round

As I sit and ponder what it means to exist.

A single thought revisits my two half’s.

When my days are cold from the loneliness of you.

All is lost

One cold night when the moon was full.

The after dark music was in rhythmic harmony as a seasoned symphony.

IT IS WRITTEN THAT YOU CAN NEVER WALK AWAY FROM LOVE.
LOVE IS THE ONLY CLEANSER OF YOUR SOUL.
IT WIPES AWAY THE BLEMISHES YOU PUT ON IT’S PURITY.
IT WASHES AWAY THE SCARS OF TIME.

As i sit quietly swimming in a sea of thoughts.

The most imminent epiphany bouncing between my two halves on this eve of tomorrow.

Why did you choose to forsake his protection?

Wings ravaged from the touch of sin.

As the pages of my of my life unfold as I journey thru time.

Temptation has enveloped me like a fog on several occasions.

Why would you ask me that?

Haven't you looked past the veneer?

I wish for tomorrow to never come; so I can live in this day with you.

I wish for God to grant me but one request; that I may have the wisdom to understand you better.

Lay still my newly wedded wife.

Lay easy as you can.

On that day
The majestic night-light will be held like a prisoner stripping the stargazers of its beauty

On that day

The day you came and touch my heart; you, gave my life such a meaningful part in this aging world.

We began to live together.

I CAN FEEL YOUR BREATH ON MY CHEST.
ONLY TO OPEN MY EYES AND FEEL ONLY THE WARM BREEZE BLOWING THRU THE WINDOW.
TOUCHING BUT NOT ALWAYS TOUCHED

It is not always the question of knowing the correct thing to do.

But the question is do one have the will to do the correct action.

Lately when I sit alone I find myself floating in that void between consciousness and unconsciousness.

It is there the thoughts of my existence and the decisions I have made helped me to build the graveyard of memories I possess.

All Day If It Doesn'T Rain

On a recent trip in my personal time machine.

I observed myself asking my dad yet another annoying question.

His answer was always as predictable as the question I was asking.

“ All day if it doesn’t rain”.

I laugh now as I witness the dumb look on my face.

Realizing it was time for me to exit the past and return to the present day.

The residual of my dad’s answer was ringing in my head like a church bell on Sunday morning.

“All day if it doesn’t rain”

Rains bring joy and happiness to some and despair to others; yet, the question remains what does rain have to do with changing the day?

Rain a catalyst of life and also a prelude to something horrible.

On any given day each of us is in jeopardy of being snatched from our earthly shells by the oldest thief.

As we continue to ride this rock as it completes another pass around the ball of fire.

Our web of deceit tangles us.

The scars of our lust; stain our soul like the tombstones of a graveyard.

Kicking the rocks along my path the earth seems to form a mold of my shoe.

Reminding me to be grateful it has not rained for me.
