Nangalum Manidan Than!
[Tamil Version: We too Human beings]

Evolve in Tea estates sacrificing hard labour for nature's sustainability and country economy
Weren't lazy at whatever sky condition but yet earn enough foreign currency
Never profit bargain but scanty wages to heal faintly stomachs satisfy
There's a sleeping room but who divinity attest its testimony...

Emigrants for their slavery
Expertise for tea production from nursery
Livestock, green food, and fruits for their lustful tasty
Worship god for in time rainfall towards prosperity...

Population expanding our generation
Our children yearn for fine education
Lives too we forfeit in natural disasters though gods abandon
Survivors still offer " sambrani " fragrance to god with flowers of jasmine...

Our prayer is a simple dignified place to fearless sleep for our pitiable children
Never will they quit work in plantation
Enthusiastically they may invent low cost high quality production
We only plead an apt room to sleep my lord pardon we, if your honour please justify aren't we too humane. . .

I read this poem with sadness in my heart, you touched my soul with your generous prayer to have a rightful room for the children to sleep in. There is so much inhumane treatment in this world today, and I for one do not understand it. Everyone deserves food, a home, an education, the necessities of life in order to live fully. Natural disasters are devastating, selfish people need to open their eyes and lend a hand. Thank you for sharing this story with the world, I pray the curtains have been opened and those who need the help receive it. RoseAnn
