Krakatau easterlies Berson westerlies
wind above equator oscillates

in direction wind in stratosphere
changes cyclic direction averages
changes every twenty-six months

alternating easterly westerly wind
regimes descend with time changes
nature insists climatic cyclic changes

vertically propagating waves
maximum acceleration occurs
below maximum phase speeds

leading to descent maximum with time
theory equatorially trapped Kelvin waves
provide westerly momentum Rossby-gravity

waves provide easterly momentum
to produce Quasi-Biennial zonal wind
oscillation nature adores momentum
