Jindagi shabdo me piroyee nahi ja sakti
varn main puri jindagi ko apne kalamo se
kisi panne par utar deta
phir likh deta apna naam
aur kahta, le lo
yehi hai meri jindagi

jindagi sajne sawrne se bhi nahi banti
varn main puri jindagi ko
kisi parlour me le jakar saja deta
aur kahta, jindagi kitni khubsoorat hai
jindagi to ek ehsas hai
jo har pal jiti hai
aur jeene ki kamna rakhti hai

jindagi ru-baru hoti hai
jab mushkile samne aati hai
varn wah jindagi hi kya
jaha karne k liye kuchh rah nahi jaata
jindagi jeene k liye bhi hai
aur marne k liye bhi, tabhi to
koi markar amar ho jata hai
koi jeekar bhi mara hua hai

aatma to kan kan me hai
jo jine ka ehsas dilati hai
mrit to wo hai jinke liye
jindagi ek bojh banjaati hai

kewal suli par latakne se hi
jivan sarthak nahi ho pata
sarthakta ka mulya tab hota hai
jab karte hue kuchh de jaate hai

Confusions - - - - - - - - Life cannot be scribed into words Or else I would shift the whole of it By my pen on the paper Then I would sign it, and say Take it This is my life! Life cannot be embellished by cosmetics Or else I would décor my life By carrying it to some parlor, and say How beautiful life is! Life is a feeling which breathes every moment And aches with desire to live! Life is ready to face When problems come Or else what is that life In which there’s nothing to do? Life is to live Life is to die Someone lives after death Someone dies while living Die only those For whom life is a burden The purpose of life is not fulfilled Only by ascending gallows It is fulfilled if one gives something substantial to the world While dying! ! ! Poems are untranslatable always, but i have tried to pick up something at least from what you have conveyed here in the poem about life... Life is to live for others and that too in a worthy way, a very rich poem indeed! ! ! (only one thing, the title could be revised for such a poem, a humble suggestion)

Most welcome and thanks for accepting the title as well, though i can't edit it from my comment, but it's enough that you approved of it!

You have tried to unfold the secret of life and English translation further enhances its meaning, kudos to both the poets.

It’s highly philosophical. The translation of this poem, by our respected poetess Shahzia Batool, inspired me to visit your page and read this poem. I just don’t have words to praise this beautiful poem. I truly enjoyed it from the start till the end. Jindagi shabdo me piroyee nahi ja sakti varn main puri jindagi ko apne kalamo se kisi panne par utar deta phir likh deta apna naam aur kahta, le lo yehi hai meri jindagi You grabbed the readers’ attention from the first line with your sensational, beautiful words. Some of the words I couldn’t understand but its translation helped me to enjoy this beautiful poem. jindagi jeene k liye bhi hai aur marne k liye bhi, tabhi to koi markar amar ho jata hai koi jeekar bhi mara hua hai loved these lines! ! ! So true and wise with a message that stirred my soul! ! ! Stay blessed :)
