Near And Far Poem by Imaanah Saleem

Near And Far

Rating: 5.0

The bond between the earth and sky can fool anyone from a distance
Over the hills the two seem close, but that's only from a distance

Flower beds, grass and trees are delighted by the gentle breeze
Granted by a sky that is always at a distance

Life and opportunity can be tricky in that way
Desire makes one eager to travel the distance

But the need to pause is likely after going on for so long
Being tormented by the distance

The roads are ever changing and so are the signs
I have no way to master the distance

You and I are like the horizon
As well as the ocean and sun, because we'll always be at a distance.
