Pointing The Way Poem by Imaanah Saleem

Pointing The Way

Rating: 5.0

Imagine someone standing on a road, steadily pointing the way.
The road is meant for them to travel down too, but they're steadily pointing the way.

People pass them by throughout every given day,
Yet and still, they feel so alone because they're steadily pointing the way.

They went out searching for answers and found them,
Now they're steadily pointing the way.

The sun rises and sets while they're out—
Steadily pointing the way.

Nature changes conditions in time,
And they're steadily pointing the way.

Birds fly off for warmer climates,
While they're steadily pointing the way.

I tend to be the one in stagnation, sure of which way to turn.
At the ready when someone's wandering; steadily pointing the way.
