Never Any More To Experience Ruin Poem by Mark Heathcote

Never Any More To Experience Ruin

If I could pluck but one star
from this boundless universe
It'd be, undoubtedly-you.
Multiple paths roads might coerce
my gaze amongst these vast numbers
but my eyes will rest on one.
Resist but one.
Oh, I've haunted multiple bars with drunkards.
But never have I fallen so succumb.

And woken so revived in-love
never has my heart beat so determined,
so loud or so mellifluous
I hear music; I might come to worship.
I hear music I'd give my heart to.
I hear music I'd give my soul to
oh, can it be, for once, the illusion-
was broken, and we are joined in union.
Never any more to experience ruin.
