New Moon Poem by Godece Jasmine Rosal

New Moon

His eyes I now faced
Topaz seas of bottomless ends
In this moment of moments, my blood raced
In this moment of the birth of ends

His jaw was a tight steel lock
His lips were taut ropes of roses
His hands were clenched marble rocks
His body statued, a tribute to goddesses

'I don't want you to come with me'
His velvet voice flew to me
I sifted the convoluted dungeons of my head
Until...until...his words echoed int my head

I don't want you to come with me
I don't want you to come with me

I knew pain but this was not pain
This was worse
I closed my eyes, breathed
I opened my eyes, he was gone.
