New Soul Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

New Soul

New soul

Yes I do think worthwhile
And try in my own style
With nothing more or hard try
But it is wishing thinking and effortless fly

I know I came with empty hand
There was no one on this land
To receive me or take care
But people looked at my arrival and stared

I was greeted with steel plates bang
It was simple notice of arrival and was sung
People talked of new soul's arrival
With keen interest as an addition of strength

It was not decided
What shall be new name or sign added
But since I was little dark complexioned
The good name of acceptance was questioned

With an advancement of age
We had all managed
With suiting place in society
It was all taken as mercy from the almighty
