Trials are the lineaments of great nations
Giants are grown by strife
Gains and trophies are sure after troubles.
Africa‘s giant shall rise again!
Nigeria, green giant shackled in chains
Natured to lead, but burdened by inept leaders
Conceived to prosper, but purloined by convicts
Felons, fattening on our commonwealth
While we faint in penury
Nigeria withers, as their mansions glow!
Arise!
Our motherland is in chains
None other but you can free her
Through votes and notes
Tribalism, corruption, hate, tyranny…
There are our chains
Patriotism, integrity, love, right attitudes…
These are our challenges
It is our Nigeria, not theirs
Let's fight to salvage her!
