Night Rest Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Night Rest

The nights are ideal
Rest place for real
Away for illusory world
To sleep in sound fold

You hand over the soul
With sleep's call
To be unaware
Of tomorrow and be there

Did you ever notice?
When abruptly called with somebody's news of demise?
How bad you feel at sudden news!
These all are frightening I midnight views

Yes it has to be calm and cool
As there should prevail lull
With pin drop silence around
And sleep has to be sound

Night's rest
Is like peaceful refuge for birds in nest
We are no midnight walker
But silent peace seeker
