No Better Chances Poem by John Chizoba Vincent

No Better Chances

Man up in the street of the country!
No better chances than this we see now.
All the youth must wear their armours
Let's shield the Rock to our taste and wish
We could be the last of the strong ones
Never to be deceived by the tale of Chibok
Neither shall we roam in Sambisa for fun
Don't watch their smiling face at all!
No better chances than this grace of
Graceful hand to behold the constitution
And tell them 'we are the leaders not followers'
This is not protest nor coup but our right we seek!
Wake up from the slum that you were pushed to
No better chances than this we have seen now!
If we lose it we lose out in life and destiny
Hold on to your armour and fight for your right!
We have seen what we ought not to see.
