No Last Goodbye Poem by Paige Johnson

No Last Goodbye

Tonight, a light
Has gone out, forever
Never shall I see one like it again
Not ever

Her soft spoken voice
Smile that creased her face
Showing the years she had spent laughing, loving, living with grace

Gone is her beauty, her hearty laugh
Like a whisper is her spirit
Heaven bound at last
Gone is our dearest, sweet one

She was kind by default
Sweeter than honey
Strong in the heart
Almost always sunny

She nurtured your soul with her warmth
Your heart with her smiles
I'll try to remember
She's only gone for a while

Gone from our sight,
Never our hearts
She lives on in her loved ones
As love was her art
