Like the sun,
you shine on my heart in ways,
that make me warm as Earth on hot summer days.

Like the sun,
you gleam,
and make the world shine,
like snow on the ground,
or the twinkle of a wind chime.

Like the sun,
you brighten,
any room.
Be big or small,
with you,
darkness will surelly fall.

Who are you,
my love and beauty?
Who on Earth could have such a glow,
to make the river in my heart
churn and flow.

Alas, there is none,
no lover or man,
could be so perfect
as the Lord can.
