No True Friends Are Found Here. Poem by Sandra jacks

No True Friends Are Found Here.

Who am I,
to be a role model,
to be A servant,
to be such a leader,
in the eyes,
of the keeper,
Children look upon me,
with bright,
curious faces,
they wonder how i am,
they wish to be around me,
and i see that,
and i know it too,
and all my friends think I'm great,
and funny,
and cute,
but what if,
some day,
my happiness were to wash away,
would they fly away with the wind and a smile,
would they not look back,
after just a short while
would they leave me,
to be swallowed up,
by the ocean blue,
i truly wonder,
what they'd do.
