Nocturnal Rose Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Nocturnal Rose

Nocturnal rose
A contradiction to nature itself
Flourishes at night
Dies in the day's blurring
Slumbering love all for the best

Bleeding thorns of yearning
Different from all of the rest

Sunlight, the poison
That kills it each day's torment
Burning on its suffering distress

The night it shines with the moon
Lunar love from above
Smiling down in shining grace

Nocturnal rose
How the darkness savors the beauty beheld
Dwelling upon crimson puddles
Life source of a moon beam's blessing
Sparkling salvation in euphoria's rapture
Contradicting life beyond comprehension

Dying in the days of dazing
Fighting for the night to seize endless possibilities

Nocturnal rose
Seduced by the night's ever so alluring embrace

Visions of a paradox set upon a paralleled success
In an enigma of no return

Nocturnal rose
A contradiction to nature itself

Giving all upon the worst of its best

Nocturnal rose
A contradiction to nature itself

Rose of splendor
You will always shine beautifully
Upon the contradiction of nature itself

Keep on growing
In the garden of hope
Where you will always be at your best

Celebrating the true sentiment of such a love lead success

Nocturnal rose
A glorious contradiction to nature itself

Blessed!
